Direct connection to the land,
to the foods we eat
& to the farmers that grow them.

Community Supported Agriculture
The CSA model creates a mutual relationship between farmer/grower & consumer/customer or, in our case member. Our members sign up to make a monthly contribution towards the day-to-day running of the farm in exchange for their share of the harvest. Members can choose to make their contribution as a monthly direct debit payment or volunteer 2-3 hours helping out on the farm each week. In this way, our members are saying “yes, we support you to grow a diverse range of seasonally appropriate crops, using natural farming methods free from chemicals, pesticides, herbicides or any similar approaches which damage biodiversity” whilst embracing what it means to eat with the seasons (we’re fortunate enough to have a polytunnel & heated propagating bench here at Bantu, so we admit to cheating the seasons - a little bit here & there!). All of our members will receive their weekly veg bag containing between 6-10 freshly harvested items, delivered to your door or a local collection hub. *for 2024 - our CSA Veg Share Scheme will run for 6 months from Summer.
Dodnash Fruit Farm & Bantu Farm
Bentley, Suffolk, home to Dodnash Fruit Farm - 75 acres of organic, heritage orchard set in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). Bantu Farm is 3 acres of arable farmland located within Dodnash Fruit Farm, set aside for growing seasonal vegetable crops, as well as soft fruits & herbs. The food we grow here at Bantu is intended to feed the people living closest to the farm; keeping food miles low & giving ourselves & our members an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the local food economy & build community resilience through food sovereignty, shared connection & access to land.
Bantu Farm CSA members will enjoy the fruits & produce of both Dodnash Fruit Farm & Bantu Farm according to seasonal availability. Veg shares may include vegetables, herbs, salad mixes, soft fruits, heritage apples & pears, juices.
